What happened? Poor little girls with no kitties! How dreadful! Did she not feed them maybe? I had a rabbit that would have her babies in the nest and not feed them. So as soon as I noticed they were born I would put her in and put a board over the nest box so she had to feed them. After the first day she did her Mama duty! Or maybe they were held to their death by loving well meaning little hands? Or the dog got them again?
Sorry to hear about this!

awww. sorry to hear it! will I see you on my trip back there? looking forward to it. :) see ya, -meg
The mama took wonderful care of them … in fact, both mamas were in the nest most of the time caring for them together, totally contented. :) We think we had them out of Oreo’s reach, but we found the kittens all dead in the nest one day after returning from a trip to town. We are suspicious this time of Puff, the tomcat, who may have gotten jealous that both of his ladies were busy with matronly duties. We don’t know. It was a sad evening for two girlies, but they have accepted it well, like children do. They now await new litters of kittens???!
