…and there is an old one of their Mom and Dad… mmm, I love that guy!
I know it’s been way too long since we have updated anything on here, but life has been moving right along for us. We are grateful to God for His unchanging and steadfast love through anything life brings us. Last Friday Leeny was diagnosed with viral meningitis, and she has been pretty much flat on her back since then. We ended up in the ER yesterday for a while and did some more extensive testing, and thankfully nothing else showed up. The extreme pain in her head is lessening, thank God, and she is backing off her pain pills slowly. Today it feels like she is finally over the hump, and headed back to normal. Thanks to all who were praying for us, that was a great encouragement to me. It was definitely a strange way to celebrate our ninth anniversary.
God is good.
All the time.
Today was the day for farewells, it seems. Brother Motz and Sister Joy are leaving for a time and several months, respectfully. In honor of these events, we had a meal together at the family home. And then tonight Uncle Juniors were farewelled at the Cleveland church, so that brought many fine people together. At least we have plenty of reminders that we’re not really home yet.
Anyway, we took advantage of the photographic prowess of one of our relatives today to get some family shots to use on our upcoming Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday cards. These are several attempts that were taken. The final version will be different, I promise.

I’m sorry about the lack of posting here, but WordPress has been giving us some annoying little fits, which really cut back on the ease of use, especially when it came to uploading pictures. So now, I have finally downloaded Windows Live Writer Beta, and I’m giving it a try. We shall see what we shall see…

This picture was incredibly easy to insert, and I’ve got lots of snazzy border options, and alignment and resizing are a snap. All of this previously required a minimum of a (almost) bachelor’s degree in HyperText Markup Language and a heavy dose of patience to accomplish. Now anyone who can drive a mouse can do it! I think I am liking it. Please don’t disappoint me, Mr. Gates.
So we decided to do a family photo shoot. Not feeling it necessary to hire a professional photographer, we turned to none other than my (little) sister! (And [of course] her gifted and attractive sidekick) This is some of what we got, with the kids and all. They’re really into nature and stuff. I mean REALLY INTO it. So much so that photo shoots go totally and completely against their natural tendencies. We had rocks, sticks, bark, branches, flowers, weeds, and a baby bird involved in the shoot. I am not making this up. And if you notice, ALL of my children are girls. You know – sugar and spice and everything nice!

The girls certainly have a wonderful mama, don’t they?

I took Esther on a little date the other morning, and no, that’s NOT Coffee she’s drinking.
